St. Mark's Cathedral

Cathedral Sveti Marko, also known as the St. Mark’s Cathedral, is a 15th-century Gothic-Renaissance cathedral that is arguably the most famous building in Korčula town. The cathedral was built by local masons and craftsmen who built the building using limestone from the island.

 

The main door boasts of the building boasts statues of Adam & Eve, and the cathedral houses a bronze statue of St. Blaize, sculpted by a renownedCroatian sculptor Ivan Meštrović.
