The city of Zagreb decided to donate three of its buses to smaller places in Croatia, and one of the vehicles is going to Korčula.
Korčula, Benkovac and Drniš are the recipients of the gift from the city of Zagreb: each of them was given one bus that was part of ZET, Zagreb's public transportation company.
Andrija Fabris, mayor of Korčula gratefully accepted the valuable gift. It is roumored that the bus will take over the duties of transportation of the school children of Čara and Smokvica, and in the afternoon it will take the children of the entire island to the town's swimming pool "Gojko Arneri", located on the outskirts of Korčula, so they can participate in swimming practices and other activities there.
