Walk the Vineyards, Munch on the Indigenous Grapes and Drink the Superior Wines

Quite renowned for vine growing and winemaking, Korčula Island is littered with old and new vineyards, especially in the interior where fertile valleys offer the best conditions. The strong mineral content comes from the roots embeded below the layers of stone, but also from sea spray often carried by wind into the interior. Korčula is best known for the indigenous grape Pošip, but the lesser known indigenous grape Grk is also a specialty.
