I'm a political anthropologist, journalist, and a big fan of the Balkan region. I've got my MD in Political Science in Moscow and then spent two years promoting different small and medium-sized enterprises. Besides, I trained my writing skills by reviewing conferences, cultural events, and daily life in the big city.
My love of the Balkans started when I was 8 y.o. and first heard local pop-folk music. This resulted in a row of trips through all the Balkan countries done, a hundred songs, and a couple of languages - Croatian and Greek - learned.
I moved to Split in November 2020, in the midst of Covid restrictions to volunteer for the Scout Association. Since my very beginnings here, I have run a blog about the lifestyle in Dalmatia: https://t.me/thebalkancan
