Excellent Sea Bathing Water Quality at 114 Dubrovnik Beaches!

We're always going on about the turquoise Adriatic sea and our gorgeous beaches, so it's good to get an official statement to turn cliches into facts: The Institute of Public Health of Dubrovnik-Neretva County issued a report confirming the sea bathing water quality at all 116 beaches in the county is either good or excellent!

The sampling and testing was carried out from May 22 to June 1, 2017, reports Glas Grada. Out of 116 beaches, 114 were marked as having 'excellent' sea water quality, while the remaining two are pronounced 'good'. So there you have it: wherever you turn, you're sure to find a fantastic spot to take a dip, as both mentioned categories rank above average.

If you want to explore on your own, here's a link to a map of Croatia featuring all beaches where the sea bathing water quality is tested every year. The coloured dots mark all the graded spots: blue stands for 'excellent', green for 'good', yellow for 'satisfactory' and red for 'unsatisfactory'. As you can see, there's not a single red spot on all of the Croatian coast!
