April 28, 2022 - The latest flight news to Croatia as 23 Eurowings Croatia lines from Germany will run next month!

The German low-cost airline, Eurowings, a member of the Lufthansa Group, is resuming traffic on a number of seasonal routes to several Croatian airports in May this year. These are lines from Germany to Pula, Rijeka, Zadar, Split, and Dubrovnik, reports Croatian Aviation.

Eurowings is already present in Dubrovnik, Split, and Zagreb, and next month it will resume traffic to Pula, Rijeka, and Zadar. These are a significant number of routes that will have a smaller number of weekly flights to most airports, while increases are expected in June and July.

Lines to Pula:

Dusseldorf, from 07.05, once a week, on Saturdays, from 24.05., twice a week, additionally on Tuesdays,

Cologne, from 22.05, 2 times a week, Thursdays and Sundays.

Lines to Rijeka:

Dusseldorf, from 21.05, once a week, Saturdays,

Stuttgart, from 21.05, 2 times a week, Thursdays and Saturdays,

Berlin, from 22.05, 2 times a week, Thursdays and Sundays,

Hamburg, from 22.05, 2 times a week, Wednesdays and Sundays.

Lines to Zadar:

Berlin, from 21.05, once a week, Saturdays,

Cologne, from 21.05, once a week, Saturdays,

Dusseldorf, from 21.05, once a week, Saturdays,

Hamburg, from 21.05, once a week, Saturdays,

Stuttgart, from 22.05, once a week, on Sundays.

Lines to Split:

Dusseldorf, 6 times a week, except Tuesdays, from 23.05 on a daily basis,

According to current announcements, Eurowings will have more than 50 weekly flights on 23 international routes to 6 Croatian airports in May. Although the number of rotations to Pula, Rijeka, Zadar, and Dubrovnik will be relatively small, which is expected at the beginning of operations, the airline plans to increase the number of flights in June, which will certainly depend on demand for all flights in the coming weeks.

Eurowings is planning A319 and A320 aircraft on the routes to Croatia, which have a capacity of 144 to 180 seats in the passenger cabin.

December 9, 2021 - The latest flights news to Croatia as Eurowings Zagreb flights have been reduced, and operational changes have been made from Split Airport. 

German low-cost airline Eurowings, a Lufthansa Group member, will temporarily suspend traffic between Zagreb, Düsseldorf, and Stuttgart in January next year. The start of traffic on the new line to Prague has also been postponed, reports Croatian Aviation.

Although this was not expected as the pandemic is far better than in the same period last year, Eurowings is showing less interest than expected in the capital and has temporarily canceled two lines from Germany to Zagreb, while the newly announced line between Prague and Zagreb will not start so soon.

Eurowings currently operates on three lines to Zagreb, from Stuttgart, Düsseldorf and Cologne.

According to current information, only the line between Cologne and Zagreb will remain in traffic throughout the winter flight schedule. Namely, Eurowings currently operates three times a week, five flights a week have been announced for Christmas, and from January 14, a reduction to two flights a week has been announced - on Fridays and Sundays.

The last flight on the line between Zagreb and Düsseldorf, which Eurowings introduced at the end of this summer, took place on November 27, and all flights after that date were canceled. The company will operate only four return flights between December 18 and 28, at the time of peak demand, while other flights in December and January were canceled. According to current announcements, Eurowings should operate on this line again from February 8, 2022.

The Stuttgart - Zagreb - Stuttgart route operates three times a week, by January 9 the number of weekly flights will increase to five, while all other flights have been canceled after that date. The line will be re-established on February 7. 

The new line announced by Eurowings this year between Prague and Zagreb has had several operational changes so far. Although the flights were announced for December, this will not happen. The airline canceled all announced operations between the two cities until February 8 next year, after which one flight a week has been announced. Given the numerous delays, it is to be expected that this line will not start operating until at least the beginning of spring.

Eurowings is also present at Split Airport in the winter flight schedule. Eurowings operates on two lines to Split - from Stuttgart and Düsseldorf. There have been operational changes on these lines as well.

The Stuttgart - Split line operates twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays. Before the holidays, a flight will be added on Tuesdays, and from January 9, the line will be interrupted until mid-February.

The Split - Düsseldorf line operates on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and from January 8, the flight will be canceled on Wednesdays and operations will be suspended on Saturdays until mid-February, when two flights a week should be available again.

ZAGREB, 4 July, 2021 - Rijeka Airport, which is located on Krk island, said on Sunday that Lufthansa was returning with flights to Munich and Frankfurt, that almost all Eurowings flights had been reinstated, and that three new Polish destinations had been arranged with LOT.

"In turnover terms, the first Saturday in July, with nine regular daily international flights, looked like those in the times before the COVID-19 pandemic," the airport said.

The German national airline is returning to Rijeka Airport after two years with two flights on Sunday - one to Munich, which was introduced in 2019, and a new one to Frankfurt, the airport said, adding that both flights would operate until October.

On Saturday, 123 passengers arrived on a Lufthansa flight from Frankfurt and 40 from Munich.

The low-cost Eurowings has reinstated flights from Rijeka to Düsseldorf, Berlin and Hamburg as well as introducing a flight to Cologne as of yesterday. Flights to Stuttgart are expected to be reinstated on 31 July.

On Saturday, 86 passengers arrived on a Eurowings flight from Berlin, 123 from Hamburg, 140 from Cologne and 130 were expected from Düsseldorf in the evening.

All Eurowings flights are expected to operate every Saturday until the end of October.

Rijeka Airport and the Polish national airline LOT have arranged three new destinations in Poland  besides Warsaw, which was introduced last year - Szczecin, Olsztyn and Zielona Gora.

This year's first LOT flight from Warsaw landed on 19 June, those to Szczecin and Olsztyn took off yesterday and the first one to Zielona Gora is expected today. The flights to the three new destinations will operate once a week, on weekends, until the first weekend in September, while those to Warsaw will operate until early October.

June 5, 2021 - The latest flight news to Croatia as Eurowings Zagreb-Düsseldorf flights resume August 31!

Avio Radar reports that German low-cost airline Eurowings will resume traffic on the Zagreb-Düsseldorf route. The line stopped operating even before the pandemic but is now on offer again, currently only from August 31 to the end of October with flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays. 

Eurowings flew non-stop on the lines from Cologne and Stuttgart with two interruptions during the pandemic in the spring and winter of last year. It is in traffic again from May 20. Eurowings currently operates 3 flights a week from Zagreb to Cologne on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, and two flights a week to Stuttgart on Thursdays and Sundays. From July 1, the same number of flights is planned for both routes as before the pandemic. Namely, there will be six flights a week from Cologne, every day except Saturday, and five flights a week for Stuttgart, every day except Tuesday and Saturday.

Last month, Eurowings announced 16 flights to Croatia, with 23 flights a week to 6 Croatian airports - Zagreb, Zadar, Split, Dubrovnik, Pula, and Rijeka. 

Eurowings will operate for the first time from the new Berlin Airport (Brandenburg) with lines to Dubrovnik, Rijeka, and Split.

The Berlin - Dubrovnik - Berlin line will run from June 27, once a week, on Sundays, with a second weekly flight on Tuesdays from early July.

The Berlin - Rijeka - Berlin line will run on Saturdays from June 26, with a second weekly flight on Thursdays from the beginning of July.

The Berlin - Split - Berlin line will run from Saturday, June 19.

Eurowings will connect Hamburg and Dubrovnik on Sundays from June 27, Hamburg and Rijeka on Saturdays from June 26, and Hamburg and Zadar on Saturdays from June 26. 

From June 28, Eurowings will increase the number of operations between Hamburg and Split to two flights a week on Mondays and Saturdays.

Eurowings will connect Dusseldorf and Rijeka on Saturdays in June and connect Dusseldorf and Pula on Saturdays from June 26.

The Dusseldorf - Split - Dusseldorf line will continue to operate twice a week in June, on Thursdays and Saturdays.

The Cologne and Split line will work on Saturdays through June.

The Stuttgart - Split - Stuttgart line runs from June 9 with a second weekly flight on Wednesdays, while Stuttgart and Zadar are connected from June 13 on Sundays.

The Dortmund - Split line will run on Saturdays and Tuesdays from June 9.

May 24, 2021 - The latest flight news to Croatia as 16 Eurowings flights to Croatia have been announced from next month! 

Croatian Aviation reports that the German low-cost airline, Eurowings, is planning 16 international flights to six Croatian airports in June.

In May, Eurowings renewed traffic on several routes to Split Airport. In the last week of May, the company will also operate to Rijeka, Zagreb, and Zadar, and in June, it will significantly increase its presence at Croatian airports.

Three Eurowings lines from Berlin

Eurowings will operate for the first time from the new Berlin Airport (Brandenburg) to Croatian airports. Three lines from Berlin are introduced in June; to Dubrovnik, Rijeka, and Split.

The Berlin - Dubrovnik - Berlin line will operate from June 27, once a week, on Sundays. The second weekly flight has been announced since early July, on Tuesday.

The Berlin - Rijeka - Berlin line will be in traffic from June 26, once a week, on Saturdays. The introduction of the second weekly flight (Thursday) from the beginning of July is also expected on this line.

The Berlin - Split - Berlin line starts in mid-June. The first flight has been announced for Saturday, June 19th.

Four lines from Hamburg

From June, three more Croatian airports will have a direct Eurowings route to Hamburg. The following lines have been announced:

Hamburg - Dubrovnik - Hamburg, from June 27, Sunday,

Hamburg - Rijeka - Hamburg, from June 26, Saturday,

Hamburg - Zadar - Hamburg, from June 26, Saturday,

The Hamburg - Split - Hamburg line is already in operation, but from June 28, Eurowings will increase the number of operations to two weeks of flight, on Mondays and Saturdays.

Three lines from Dusseldorf

Eurowings will resume traffic on the line between Dusseldorf and Rijeka later this month. That line will also have one weekly flight in June, every Saturday. An increase in weekly operations is not expected until July.

The company will resume traffic to Pula from June 26. The line between Dusseldorf and Pula will run once a week, on Saturdays.

The Dusseldorf - Split - Dusseldorf line will continue to operate twice a week in June, on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Two lines from Cologne

The line between Cologne and Zagreb is open three times a week, on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The same number of operations was announced for June. The line between Cologne and Split starts with regular operations from May 29, once a week, on Saturdays. One flight a week is also announced through June.

Lines from Stuttgart to Zagreb, Zadar, and Split

From May 27, Eurowings will run again between Stuttgart and Zagreb, twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays. Flights have also been confirmed for June.

The Stuttgart - Split - Stuttgart line is in traffic from June 9. Eurowings will introduce the second weekly flight on Wednesday.

The Stuttgart - Zadar - Stuttgart line will operate again from June 13. One flight per week is announced on Sundays.

Eurowings will also have one line from Dortmund to Croatia. From May 29, the Dortmund - Split - Dortmund line will be introduced on Saturdays, which will get its second weekly flight on June 8, on Tuesdays.

The German low-cost airline will have 16 routes (23 flights a week) to 6 Croatian airports in June; Zagreb, Zadar, Split, Dubrovnik, Pula, and Rijeka.

April 16, 2021 - The latest flight news to Croatia as 10 Eurowings flights to Zagreb, Split, Zadar, and Rijeka will operate from next month!

Croatian Aviation reports that Eurowings, a low-cost airline from the Lufthansa Group, will resume traffic to several Croatian airports in May and have a total of as many as 10 scheduled flights to four Croatian airports - Zagreb, Rijeka, Zadar, and Split.

The company currently operates three international routes to Croatia (one to Zagreb and two to Split) and will resume operations on seven more in May.

More flights to Zagreb Airport and Split Airport

Zagreb will continue to be connected to Cologne three times a week (Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays), and Eurowings will resume traffic on the line between Stuttgart and Zagreb on May 20 with two flights a week, on Thursdays and Sundays.

Eurowings currently operates on two lines to Split, and in May it will have a total of five.

Lines from Dusseldorf and Stuttgart to Split currently operate once a week, and a second flight per week is introduced on both routes (in addition to Saturday, an additional flight on Tuesdays).

Eurowings will introduce lines from Cologne, Dortmund, and Hamburg to Split in early May, and all lines will be open once a week, on Saturdays.

Lines to Zadar Airport and Rijeka Airport are being introduced

Zadar and Rijeka airports will welcome the first planes of this airline in this year's summer flight schedule in May.

The Dusseldorf - Rijeka - Dusseldorf line will start operating at the very end of the month (May 29), once a week, on Saturdays, while Eurowings will resume traffic to Zadar on two lines.

The Stuttgart - Zadar - Stuttgart line will operate from May 23, once a week, on Sundays, while the Cologne - Zadar - Cologne line will operate from May 22, also once a week, on Saturdays.

In May, Eurowings will perform almost 100 rotations on 10 international routes to and from four Croatian airports, with the largest number of seats being offered to Zagreb and Split. In June, we can expect a larger number of weekly operations on these lines, as well as the introduction of additional and renewed traffic to Pula Airport. We remind you that the line to Osijek is not on sale for this year.

Aircraft from the A320 family was announced on all routes to Croatia in May.

November 18, 2020 - The latest news for flights to Croatia as Eurowings boosts traffic to Croatia in December.

Croatian Aviation reports that Eurowings has announced its flight schedule for December this year, in which there are operational changes on the routes to Croatia.

With the end of the summer flight schedule at the end of October, Eurowings withdrew from Pula, Rijeka, and Zadar, leaving only two destinations active in the winter months - Zagreb and Split.

The airline announced four flights a week on the routes to Zagreb for November, but they operated fewer, only twice a week, due to reduced demand. 

During the holidays, Eurowings increases traffic to Croatia

During the Christmas and New Year holidays, Eurowings plans to increase its presence in Croatia. Given that many Croatian citizens live in Germany and want to come to Croatia just in time for the holidays, this increase in traffic certainly makes sense. And Eurowings is not the first to announce an increase in flights at this time of year.

On the Stuttgart - Zagreb line, Eurowings currently operates twice a week, on Fridays and Sundays. From December 23, 2020, to January 6, 2021, another flight per week is added, on Wednesdays.

The Zagreb - Cologne line currently operates two flights a week, on Fridays and Sundays. From December 21, 2020, to January 6, 2021, they have added two more flights a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Eurowings will increase the number of weekly flights to Split, temporarily introducing another route

The Split - Dusseldorf line currently operates once a week, on Saturdays. From December 23, 2020, to January 6, 2021, another flight has been added, on Wednesdays.

The Split - Stuttgart line currently operates twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays. From December 22, 2020, to January 10, it will operate three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

Eurowings will temporarily introduce the Split - Cologne line, which will operate twice a week, on Tuesdays and Sundays, from December 22, 2020, to January 10, 2021.

Increasing traffic to Croatia just in time for the holidays was an expected move by Eurowings. Apart from direct destinations, passengers will make excellent connections to other German cities, such as Hamburg and Berlin.

Recall that German Lufthansa has canceled the Munich - Zagreb line, and it will not operate from December 1 to the spring of 2021.

October 13, 2020 - The latest news for flights to Croatia as Eurowings operates on four lines to Croatia in November.

Croatian Aviation reports that Eurowings, a German low-cost carrier, plans to operate to two airports in Croatia in November this year - Split and Zagreb.

Eurowings was among the first to establish traffic to Croatia after the borders opened and the lockdown was lifted. The company operated in this year's summer flight schedule to all airports in Croatia, as it did in the last summer season (Pula, Rijeka, Zadar, Split, Dubrovnik, Zagreb, and Osijek) but with significantly fewer weekly flights and in a shorter duration (Osijek and Dubrovnik had only one month of regular flights).

In the previous winter months, the company operated to Split, Zagreb, Rijeka, and one year, even to Pula. There will be no direct flights to Pula and Rijeka this autumn and winter, which means that Eurowings will remain present only in Split and Zagreb.

Zagreb connected with Stuttgart and Cologne

In November, Eurowings will continue to operate on two routes to Zagreb, from Stuttgart and Cologne.

The Stuttgart - Zagreb line should run four times a week, every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. A319 aircraft have been announced on the route, which has a capacity of 144 passengers in the fleet of this carrier.

The Cologne - Zagreb line should also run four times a week, on the same days as the line to Stuttgart, every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. This line will have one less flight per week compared to the summer flight schedule (canceled on Saturday).

Two lines to Split

In last year's winter flight schedule, Eurowings had four international routes to Split (Cologne, Stuttgart, Munich, and Dusseldorf). This winter, there will be only two in traffic with a minimum number of weekly flights.

The Dusseldorf - Split line will operate once a week, on Saturdays, while the Stuttgart - Split line will operate twice a week, every Thursday and Sunday.

All other seasonal routes to Croatian airports will end with traffic for this year by the end of October (October 24), when the summer flight schedule also ends.

Septemeber 5, 2020 - The latest news for flights to Croatia as Eurowings reduces flights to Split Airport. 

Croatian Aviation reports that due to the introduction of restrictive measures that apply to all who travel to Germany from Split-Dalmatia, Sibenik-Knin, and Zadar counties (mandatory testing for COVID-19 and self-isolation until the test results are presented), Eurowings has recorded a decline in demand resulting in numerous cancellations on lines to Split Airport.

In mid-August, Eurowings announced its flight schedule to Croatia for September, in which it announced an increase in the number of weekly flights from a number of German cities compared to August.

Due to restrictive measures and the epidemiological situation in Croatia, Eurowings, just like everyone else, is recording a decline in demand on routes to Split, which results in the cancellation of certain departures and a new, reduced flight schedule for September this year. Eurowings was supposed to run 40 operations a week to Split Airport this month, but that will not happen.

You can find the new flight schedule below:

Split - Dusseldorf will operate 3 times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, from September 26 (previously planned 4 flights a week, the flight is canceled on Sundays),

Split - Hamburg will operate twice a week, on Mondays and Sundays, from September 7 (previously planned 4 flights a week, flights are canceled on Tuesdays and Saturdays),

Split - Cologne will operate twice a week, on Thursdays and Saturdays, from September 7 (previously planned 5 flights a week, the flight will be canceled on Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays). Eurowings had two daily flights on this line on Saturdays, leaving one in traffic.

Split - Stuttgart will operate 3 times a week, on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, from September 7 (previously planned 4 flights a week, the flight is canceled on Sundays),

Split - Hannover continues to operate according to the original plan, once a week, on Saturdays,

Split - Berlin continues to operate according to the original plan, twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Eurowings will have 26 weekly operations to Split in September - as many as 14 flights a week less than originally planned.

In other Croatian airports, there are currently no reductions on Eurowings routes, and traffic is moving according to the flight schedule that was announced earlier. Further cancellations are possible and will depend on restrictions for travelers traveling to Germany from Croatia.
