S7 Flights to Split and Zadar from Moscow Announced from End of June!

May 26, 2021 - The latest news for flights to Croatia as Russian S7 flights to Split and Zadar will operate from Moscow at the end of June! These will be the second and third routes to Croatia this year after Pula Airport.

Croatian Aviation reports that the Russian airline, S7 Airlines, will introduce two more scheduled flights to Croatia in June. Namely, the Moscow-based airline will introduce two more scheduled flights to Croatia in the second half of June.

The airline traditionally operates on a regular seasonal line between Pula and Moscow, and this year, it will also operate to Zadar and Split!

Regular flights to Pula operate once a week, on Sundays, and the airline currently plans to maintain one rotation throughout the summer season.

The positive news is that S7 Airlines will introduce two more new routes to Croatia from the end of June.

The Moscow - Split - Moscow (Domodedovo Airport) line will be in operation from June 25, once a week, every Friday. Fifteen rotations with the B737-800 aircraft, with a capacity of 176 passengers, have been announced. The S7 will offer a total of 5,280 seats with one flight per week until the end of September (September 24, 2021) between Moscow and Split.

From June 26, S7 will operate on the Moscow - Zadar - Moscow line (also from Domodedovo Airport). This line was also announced once a week, on Saturdays, until September 25, so the same number of operations was announced as for Split.

On two new lines to Croatia, S7 will offer an additional 10,560 seats. This is the only announced line this season between Moscow and Zadar, while the Russian national airline - Aeroflot - will operate daily to Split. As it stands now, Aeroflot will fly to Split from June 1.

Flights to Croatia: LOT Considering Budapest-Zagreb Route, S7 Boosts Pula

July 29, 2019 - The latest news from around Croatia’s airports for new flights to Croatia with updates from Zagreb and Pula airports.

Ex Yu Aviation reports that LOT Polish Airlines could soon operate a route between Budapest and Zagreb, as well as to Belgrade, Prague and Sofia, as the airline works on building its hub in the capital of Hungary. The new routes are expected to launch this September, though more information will be known after a press conference this Wednesday.

With this expansion, LOT would become one of the main hub airlines at the Budapest Airport. These new routes would be in addition to the already scheduled Brussels and Bucharest lines.

Furthermore, this new line would resume the Budapest-Zagreb route for the first time in five years. With this addition, the airline hopes to target business passengers traveling between European capitals and passengers with onward connections, like the routes from Budapest to New York and Chicago.

Recall, Qatar Airways once operated between Doha and Zagreb via Budapest, while Hungary’s former national carrier Malev once ran 18 flights per week between the two cities until it folded in 2012.

LOT currently works between Zagreb and Warsaw two times a day.

In other news, Avio Radar reports that S7 Airlines, which is a member of the global airline association OneWorld, announced that it would boost the Moscow-Domodedovo-Pula line for the 2020 summer. The airline plans for six flights per week, on every day apart from Thursday. The new flights will be added on Sundays, and this year’s Thursday flight will change to a new flight on Tuesdays next year.

The Boeing 737-800 aircraft have been announced for next year instead of the Airbus A320 aircraft.

Flights to Croatia: S7 Boosts Operations, El Al Launches Dubrovnik Service

January 7, 2019 - The latest news from around Croatia’s airports for new flights to Croatia, with updates to Pula and Dubrovnik.

Flights to Croatia: Ryanair from Dublin to Split and Dubrovnik

Ryanair has announced that they are launching their first flights to Dubrovnik and Split from Dublin, four times a week from June, as part of its largest Croatian summer schedule so far. The 2019 summer schedule also includes flights from Zadar to Cologne, Hamburg and Nuremberg, reports HRTurizam

"Ryanair is pleased to announce our first flights from Dubrovnik and Split to Dublin, which will run four times per week from June, as part of the expanded summer schedule in 2019, which also includes new flights from Zadar to Cologne, Hamburg, and Nuremberg,” said Ivana Hanjš, executive director of sales and marketing for Europe.

Flights to Croatia: S7 to Dubrovnik and Pula

Russian airline S7 has also announced they’ll be boosting operations to both of their destinations in Croatia for the 2019 summer, reports AvioRadar.

Namely, on the line between Dubrovnik and Moscow (Domodedovo airport), S7 will operate using the larger Boeing 737-800 aircraft instead of the Airbus A319 aircraft. Flights will continue to work twice a week, on Monday and Friday, over the same period as last year.

On the line between Pula and Moscow (Domodedovo), S7 has announced an additional line on Saturdays. Thus, instead of last year’s five flights per week, S7 will now operate between the two cities six times a week. There will be no flights on Tuesdays and Sundays.

The Pula-Saint Petersburg line remains unchanged and will run as it did last year - once a week on Sundays.

Flights to Croatia: El Al from Tel Aviv to Dubrovnik

Ex Yu Aviation announced that Israel's national carrier El Al has also announced a new seasonal flight between Tel Aviv and Dubrovnik. The Israeli airline will fly once a week between the two cities, on Tuesdays, beginning June 4, 2019. Operations will end on September 24, 2019. El Al will operate using the 189-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
