Apart from being the most attractive tourist destination in Croatia, Dubrovnik is known as another type of it-location lately. Since the city became a filming site for the massively popular tv show 'Game of Thrones', the picturesque historical town became a darling of the film industry.
A charming little exhibition is currently on display at the headquarters of Kinematografi Dubrovnik in Luža: behind-the-scenes photos taken at various locations in the city serve as a peek into the filming process, and depict characters from famous movie hits such as 'Star Wars' and 'Robin Hood', parts of which were filmed in Dubrovnik.
There's plenty of amusing scenes, including a Stormtrooper casually taking a break at Dubrovnik walls, as well as dangerous action shenanigans carried out as part of filming the Bollywood hit 'Fan'.
