See in Zagreb

Main Railway Station

By 19 January 2017

One of the busiest spots in the Lower Town opened its door to the public in 1862 to cater for the needs of Orient Express passengers, and the grandeur is present in its Renaissance and Neo-classical elements even today. A pleasant walk along two of Zagreb’s most beautiful parks, Zrinjevac and Tomislavac, will take you to Ban Jelačić Square in about 10 min.

The interior lacks some of its exterior lustre, but it nevertheless serves its main function of being the biggest and busiest train station in Croatia.
