Kids Activities: Zagreb Zoo

By 19 December 2016

Zagreb ZOO is located in Makismir Park, and it’s across the street from the stadium, also called Maksimir, so, if you’re a sports fan, you can visit both.

You can reach it by trams 5 (direction Maksimir), 7 and 12 (direction Dubrava), or 4 and 11 (direction Dubec). If you want to walk around the gorgeous park, get off on Bukovačka stop, and if you want to go directly to the ZOO, the stop nearest the entrance is Hondlova. We recommend Bukovačka because then you get to cross a real zebra crossing.

The 17-acre ZOO opened in 1925 and it’s home to more than 2, 225 animals.
