The clubbing scene in Zagreb is getting a new protagonist on Monday, 29 May: the Cadillac club that's opening at Medveščak 2, the location of the former club Gjuro 2.
The Cadillac club will be managed by the Total Rock World, an association of Zagreb rockers. On weekdays, they plan to organise various dance and music workshops, lectures, auditions and other programmes, followed by concerts and film screenings in the evening.
On the first day of the week, Cadillac will host a conveniently titled programme 'I Don't Like Mondays', featuring rock, pop and alt-rock music events, accompanied by films featuring music of the same genre. Events dedicated to Zagreb are planned for Tuesdays, while Wednesdays are reserved for some good old disco under the well-known title 'Saturday Night Fever'.
Dance evenings are planned for Thursdays, and young local bands will get their chance to show their skills on Fridays with repertoires covering the best of rock'n'roll, blues, country and rock. A similar programme, but featuring more serious names from the local and international music scene, will take place on Saturdays, and laid-back Sundays are reserved for jazz.
A welcome addition to the entertainment scene in the capital!
