First Escape Room for Children Opens in Zagreb

By 1 November 2017

The escape room is only the second of its kind in Europe.

Escape Room and other quests similar to it have been a huge hit in Zagreb for the past few years, among children and adults alike. However, all escape rooms in Zagreb, although based on video games and evoking nostalgia among us grown-up kids, are intended for adults; or, at least that was the case until a children’s escape room opened in Zagreb on October 27.
It’s called Prva dječja detektivska agencija (First Children’s Detective Agency) and it is located in Maksimirska 49.

Solving all the puzzles normally takes about 1.5 hours and the prices are HRK 450 (for 3-4 players) and HRK 550 (for 5-6 players), or, if you want to celebrate your child’s birthday in this entertaining and educational environment, you can do it for HRK 850.
Unlike classic video games, escape rooms help children develop a number of skills, teaching them how to think, connect the dots, handle new and unknown situations and apply logics and teamwork in dealing with new tasks.
The concept already exists in Slovenia, so owner Kruna Josimović and her husband wanted to give Zagreb children a chance to experience this adventure here in Zagreb as well, and this is only the second escape room of its kind in Europe.

The game is ideal for children aged 10 and older, but parents can help younger children solve the puzzles as well. The children need to solve all the puzzles to find the missing detective. Children can play alone, or a gamemaster can guide them through the process, Svijet sigurnosti reports.
The space in colourful and filled with brain teasers, puzzles and riddles.
The reviews are overwhelmingly positive – it looks like the team knows what to do, so parents see just as thrilled with the game as their children are.
